In our continuing NHRA Drag Racing Project with “Racing in the 1980’s”, here is our latest post on You-Tube of “DRAGSTER MANIA”. These are cleaned up slides and digitized for production of a number of Top Fuel and Top Alcohol Dragsters, with even a jet exhibition rail thrown in, from Pomona Winternationals and Orange County International Raceway (OCIR) from the early 1980’s. We were there with our friend from back in the Chicago Area whose name was Al Dapozza and he was racing the EVIL SPIRIT Top Alcohol Dragster. The lead pic is of Al “Heating the Tires” a bit before a run at the World Finals. Al did win the Winternationals in 1982 at Pomona running with Team Strange.
