Over this upcoming Memorial Day weekend on Saturday May 24, 2014, NEVADA MUSCLECARS will be participating in a “SUMMER SALUTE” Car Show here in the Reno area at San Rafael Park . It is a Benefit Show with ALL proceeds going to our Veterans through VETERANS GUEST HOUSE and OPERATION FEEDBACK. Last year there were close to 400 Cars and it was truly a great event for a special cause. We will be bringing the GT3 SCCA/IMSA Mustang up at show and will be posting new pictures and maybe a new story or two upcoming soon….. TACH IT UP!

Over the weekend on Saturday, we took out the Race Mustang for a “RUN” to celebrate the 50th Birthday of the MUSTANG. The Original Pony Car. Picture posted is from a local elementary school where we stopped for quick picture and whole bunch of kids gave BIG THUMBS UP!
    TACH IT UP……

I wish I has some better pictures of the ’64 “On Fyr” Camino. It was probably one of the brightest RED cars I have seen when we finished it. Paint was Candy Fire Red over Pearl White with some very subdued flames underneath the red in gold and silver that was only seen in certain light. If you ever had seen the STP Day Glo Orange/Red cars that ran at INDY,the color was very close to how Bright/pearlescent those were from Andy and the guys. Because Pop had done the Trans Am Javelin for Ted Roberts and Norris Industries, we had a number of chrome “FYR FYTER” extinguishers laying around that were used in the display for the ISCA shows. That is where the “ON FYR” name came from for the ’64 Show Pickup.
