On January 25-26, 2025, The WeatherTech IMSA Series will kick off the Race Season for 2025 at Daytona in Florida with the running of the Rolex 24 Hour Endurance Race for Sports Cars. Prototype Cars in GTP from Porsche, Cadillac, Acura, BMW and others will square off in the top class and in GTD and GTD Pro, Sports and American Muscle Cars will fight it out for the win. Cars like Ford Mustang, Chevy Corvette, Mercedes AMG, Ferrari, Lexxus and few other marques make up the interesting class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being a Mustang fan and running our “Stang both previously in SCCA\/Vintage Racing and now with NHRA and Vintage Drags, it will be a fun watch to see how Ford’s Multi-Matic Team does in it’s second year against some VERY Tough competition in GTD and the Pro Class. IMSA has really done a fantastic job of expanding the series over the last 5-6 years to attract the major manufacturers to put together both factory and private entries with increased TV coverage for sports car racing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MUTLTI-MATIC back with the FORD TEAM with 2 Mustangs in GTD and GTD Pro to improve on last year as first with the new cars. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pratt-Miller will be back with the Corvette Team again in 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WRIGHT MOTORSPORTS back with one of our favorite cars with the fantastic looking Porsche in GTD<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wayne Taylor Racing takes over the GM\/Cadillac Racing Program in GTP for 2025. This is at Daytona testing at beginning of Dec 2024. Not sure if this will be the livery with mostly black, we’ll see more when they roll out for the Roar before the 24 on Jan 17-19, 2025 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
