In 2024, Ford Performance will return to the global sports car stage with the iconic Pony Car, the Ford Mustang in GT3 Specs. Ford reveled it’s plans just prior to this years Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona with the International Motor Sports Association, IMSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The preparation of this new Mustang will be a collaboration with Multimatic Motorsports with a 2 car,Factory-Backed effort in GTD PRO and also include the sale of the GT3 Cars to private entries for the balance of the GTD Class starting at Daytona in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being Mustang racers and enthusiasts of Sports Car Racing, we are thrilled to hear of Ford’s new program and we will be following the progress closely. Ford has been running some successful GT4 Mustangs with IMSA in the Grand Sport Class, GS, and this seems like a natural progression back up the ladder after the winning FORD GT in GTLM had been cancelled a few years back after achieving the goal of another win at Le Mans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
